Non-Event presents a program of music for kids at the Codman Square branch of the Boston Public Library. Learn about experimental music, see a performance, and learn about making music with everyday objects from local musician and instrument-maker Jesse Collins. Free and open to children of all ages!

About the artist

Jesse Kenas Collins is a musician who uses brass and woodwind instruments, along with simple electronics and everyday objects, to create musical experiences that are also visually compelling. Jesse uses balloons, small fans, motors, and sculptures to create sounds with reeds and other small devices. Jesse has improvised with many artists around New England, including the group Variant State, and has toured through the US and Europe.
