LAWRENCE ENGLISH is composer, media artist, and curator, based in Australia. Working across an eclectic array of aesthetic investigations, English’s work prompts questions of field, perception and memory. He investigates the politics of perception via live performance and installation to create works that ponder subtle transformations of space and ask audiences to become aware of that which exists at the edge of perception.

He is the founder of the Room40 label, which celebrates its fifteenth anniversary this year.

JOHN CHANTLER is an experimental musician and curator, born in Autralia, now based in Sweden, whose work is currently centered around the modular synthesizer system that he first explored in a trio album with Lawrence English and the Japanese musician Tujiko Noriko in 2009

This summer John Chantler will release Still Light, Outside, which is an extended suite in four parts for pipe organ and electronics that combines passages of stark minimalism centred at the bodily invasive extremes of the organ’s register with striking explosions of colour; massed chords shot through with heavy distortion and electronics that operate according to their own dream logic.
