MICHAEL ROSENSTEIN (amplified objects, electronics, and distressed recordings) is a Boston-based improviser who explores the timbres of amplified surfaces, analog electronic circuits, electromagnetic pickup coils, and distressed field recordings, looiking for the the connections and interstices of the resultant unstable sonic events. He is a member of the group Variant State [trio] and has played in HMQ, Deleuzer, and Grizzler.

ARKM FOAM has been a mainstay in the New England improv scene, as musician, organizer, collaborator, and all-around sonic-experimenter. Since his move to Western Mass, his appearances in the Boston area have been fewer so each one is worth catching.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Boston Cultural Council, a local agency which is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, administrated by the Mayor’s Office of Arts + Culture.
