Luke Moldof is a Boston based musician who operates in a variety of musical extremes. His work ranges from visceral harsh noise assaults to melodic free jazz guitar. His primary solo project, Stillbirth, is an amalgamation of his various musical interests, incorporating field recording, drones, noise / power electronics, song form and abstraction. Moldof’s other primary musical focus are his bands Perispirit, a drone/noise duo with Ricardo Donoso and Oriental Pearl, a group with Ben Stepner that likes to utilize difference tones. He was also a founding member of the now defunct power electronics project Craniopagus. Luke has performed with artists such as Joe Morris, Greg Kelley, Howard Stelzer, and Stephen Drury’s Callithumpian Consort. He runs the experimental record label Razors and Medicine and has had works featured on labels including Hospital Productions, Ekhein, Trash Ritual, and Semata Productions. Look for future releases on Ecstatic Peace, Chondritic Sound, Ides, and Expectorant. For this performance he will utilize an Arp 2600.
