Join us at the Zeroplan Loft of Max Lord and Ellen Godena in downtown Boston, 5:30-9:00pm (address will be sent upon RSVP) for:

TOO MUCH CHEMISTRY: Experiential Renderings in audio, video, and storytelling of San Francisco’s Industrial and Post-punk Scenes (1978-1982)

Featuring

  • Presented by
  • JED SPEARE of Studio Soto/Mobius, a sound artist who was deeply embedded in San Francisco industrial culture in the 1980s, and
  • DANNY GROMFIN, music enthusiast and proprietor of the Warning Label Records label, who experienced the 80s SF music scene firsthand.

EACH ATTENDEE WILL RECEIVE

  • A special mix-CDr that includes cuts drawn from all facets of the San Francisco punk and post-punk scene (1976-1981), from Crime, Avengers, and Sleepers to Ultrasheen, Tuxedomoon, and Factrix, carefully selected from rare and out of print recordings from the collections of the curators!

DINNER, BEER, AND COFFEE

  • A selection of special SEASONAL BEERS by the award-winning Cambridge Brewing Company, with CBC lead brewer Jay Sullivan doing the pouring.
  • A delicious BUFFET DINNER by Prose with beer-friendly dishes, including locally foraged, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free food.
  • COLD-BREWED COFFEE by Barismo.
