ISOLDE TOUCH is the project of Asha Sheshadri, a multimedia artist currently working out of Southern California. Her live performance hinges on the relationship between sonic and visual, through experimentation with computer, voice, text and video synthesis. Harsh rhythmic elements are layered with lush vocal counterpoint, illuminating the intersection between the soft and abrasive, the naturally-occurring and machine-generated. Her work has been released through Digitalis Ltd. and Further Records and displayed in spaces including the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, Eyebeam Art+Technology Center, and SDSpace4Art. Asha received her BA from Boston University and will be pursuing her MFA at the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Brookline Commission for the Arts, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
