FELIX KUBIN is one of electronic music’s most dynamic and versatile performers. A lovechild of the home recording era, his activities include futuristic pop, radio plays, electroacoustic music, and works for chamber orchestra. Kubin’s music is saturated with enthusiasm for disharmonic pop, industrial noise, and 20th-century avant-garde music. In the last 20 years, he has released a diverse array of albums and played over 70 electronic music festivals. He likes to move between high and low culture, clubs and concert halls, as his main concern is the shifting of contexts and expectations.

Emerging from the Providence experimental scene, DAILY LIFE offers a contemporary and original approach to the minimal synth pop style with crooning vocals courtesy of CF (Kites/Mark Lord), pulsing drum machines, and Sakiko Mori (of Paul & Maurey) with her trademark no-fidelity keyboards providing spectral echoes galore. Everything you love about Martin Dupont, Suicide, and Echo West rolled into a ball of dark and psychedelic mutant pop. Put down your 80s reissues and see what is happening now! Their debut LP, Necessary & Pathetic is out now on Providence’s much loved Load records.
