OLAF BENDER (aka BYETONE) is a founding member of the Raster-Noton label, as well as its lead designer. Bender creates his music digitally, assembling sine tones into complex sound fabrics of deep sub-bass and rhythmic clicks and crackles. In his high-energy live sets, he creates abstract animations to support his abstract music —transforming the rhythm of the music into its graphic equivalent, which he controls in real time.

AOKI TAKAMASA was born in Osaka, Japan and presently resides in Berlin, Germany. He has been releasing music since 2001, constantly revising his personal methodology whilst actively creating sounds based mainly on computer/software. Aoki enthusiastically pursues an expansive variety of techniques of expression via a broad array of software and hardware, driving his laptop’s CPU to the max to create a propulsive rhythm and groove. His latest release, “RN-Rhythm Variations,” is a brilliant mix of abrasive noise and infectious rhythms. We are very pleased to present his U.S. debut!
