For one night only, Non-Event and the inimitable Bromp Treb take over Ricardo De Lima’s gallery space in the Foster Prize exhibition at the ICA. Neil will play 2 short sets:

Set one: 7:30pm (approx. start time)
Set two: 8:10pm (approx. start time)

BROMP TREB is the onomatopoeic flailings of Neil Young Cloaca. Composing and improvising with intentionally unstable systems of his own devising, he joyfully uses/misues busted circuits, collaged beats, cheap effects pedals, poor drumming technique, and tape manipulation to make idiosyncratic music / non music. In addition to this project, Young Cloaca is a member of long-running art damage quintet Fat Worm of Error, makes disorienting diaristic video work, and produces performance/screening events. He has performed and screened his work all around North America and Europe. He lives in Western Massachusetts.

Presented as part of the 2015 James and Audrey Foster prize exhibition

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Boston Cultural Council, a local agency which is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, administrated by the Mayor’s Office of Arts, Tourism, and Special Events.
