About the artists

DAVID DOGAN is a composer, poet, and electronic sound artist based in Boston, MA. His work is often interested in samples & loops & noise & experimentation. He recently acquired his Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition from the Boston Conservatory.

Drummer, composer, artist, poet, dancer, visionary, nature mystic: RA KALAM BOB MOSES’s life has been a continuous quest for vision, spirit, compassion, growth, and mastery in a multiplicity of art forms. JOSH ROSEN (keyboards) has performed/recorded with jazz greats Joe Lovano, Mick Goodrick, George Garzone, Greg Hopkins, Ra Kalam Bob Moses, Stan Strickland, Phil Grenadier, John Lockwood, Dennis Irwin, Steve Slagle, Bennie Wallace, George Schuller, John Voigt, The Either/Orchestra, and Ethiopian master musicians Mulatu Astake and Mahmoud Ahmed, among many others. Rosen is Professor of Piano and Ensembles at Berklee College of Music.

STAN STRICKLAND (saxophone, flute, bass clarinet, vocals, percussion) has performed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, New Zealand and the Caribbean. A protegé of Ran Blake, he has performed with  jazz greats Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders, Herbie Mann, and opened for Miles Davis and Sonny Rollins. Stan is an associate professor of voice at Berklee College of Music and is the executive co-director of Express Yourself, a multi-cultural arts organization that serves mentally ill youth through the Department of Mental Health. His one-man show Coming Up For Air, An Auto-Jazzography received the prestigious Eliot Norton Award in theatre for best solo performance.
