The Support Series is an ongoing series of online fundraisers in support of social & racial justice organizations. For this edition of the series, we're urging people to donate to the The Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative's (DSNI) mission is to empower Dudley residents to organize, plan for, create and control a vibrant, diverse and high-quality neighborhood in collaboration with community partners.

We encourage you to learn more about the wideranging initiatives of the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative and make a donation, if you can.

This is the ninth of our monthly online concerts to raise awareness and money for social change. Each event will raise money for a different organization working for social and racial justice in Boston and beyond.

About the artists
DAVID DOGAN is a composer, poet, and electronic sound artist based in Boston, MA. His work is often interested in samples & loops & noise & experimentation. He recently acquired his Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition from the Boston Conservatory.

NOELL DORSEY is a singer, improviser and experimental vocalist based in Somerville MA. She is a member of the venerable ultra-heavy psych-rock outfit Major Stars. She also performs with the improv duos Avoidance and Beautiful Weekend. Coming from a classical singing background, she incorporates various vocal techniques and extensions to create a textural and uninhibited terrain.

ROB NOYES has been on the Eastern Massachusetts scene for a while, but what we’ve heard him play is music from within the context of electric bands, most of whom are loud as hell and exist somewhere along the rim of the post-core continuum. More recently, Rob has taken to displaying his solo acoustic guitar chops and they are massive….. Rob’s playing carries the weight of many possibly-imaginary forebears, but the way he smears them all together shows a holistic mastery of touch and imagination that defies a lot of today’s players, who tend to shine in short bursts, then allow their dreams to outrun their technique.” —Byron Coley

DAVE SEIDEL was born in Hudson, NY in 1958 and received a BA in Music Theory & Composition from Simon’s Rock College in 1978, studying with Larry Wallach and Thom Lipiczky. He also studied classical guitar with Edward Flower for a time. In the 1980s he played electric guitar in the Downtown NYC new music scene, working in ensembles led by composers Lois V Vierk, Scott Johnson, Guy Klucevsek, and Bill Obrecht, and co-leading the band People Falling. He premiered the electric version of Vierk’s 五 Guitars (Go Guitars) for five microtonally-tuned guitars, live and on Simoom (Experimental Intermedia CD, 1990), and recorded Vierk’s Red Shift on River Beneath the River (Tzadik CD, 2000). He performed at a wide variety of venues, ranging from night clubs (CBGB, Mudd Club) to downtown performance spaces (The Kitchen, Dia Art Foundation, Dance Theater Workshop) to concert halls (New York’s Alice Tully Hall, Minneapolis’ Walker Arts Center) and at several new music festivals (New Music America in Los Angeles, Bang On A Can in New York, and Styrian Autumn in Graz, Austria). He lives in Peterborough, NH.
