FLORIAN DOMBOIS (born 1966, Berlin) is a sound and installation artist, who studied Geophysics and Philosophy and is currently a professor at the at the Zurich University of the Arts. His interdisciplinary practice has focused on time, models, landforms, labilities, wind and tectonic activity, scientific and technical fictions, as well as on their various representational and media formats.

The work of American artist ANDY GRAYDON (b. 1971, Maui, Hawaii) explores experiences of absence and displacement, such as those encountered in travel, in writing and in recording. This work across media has been exhibited, screened, performed and published internationally, including shows at the New Museum, Art in General, and Participant Inc. (New York); Berlinische Galerie, Berlin; the Frye Art Museum, Seattle; Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, MA; Honolulu Museum of Art, Hawaii; and the Wroclaw Media Arts Bienniale, Poland. Upcoming projects include a performance for Non-Event at the Waterworks Museum, Boston; and an outdoor sculpture for the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum.

Non-Event’s programming is supported in part by a grant from the Boston Cultural Council and the Brookline Commission for the Arts, a local agency which is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and administered by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture.
